Employing A Sex Doll For The First Time: A Complete Beginner's Guide
Maybe you've already purchased your first doll, or perhaps you're on the verge of doing so. Unbox a 35 kg silicone human in your living space and there's a beat of mild panic as you stare at her and think: now what? The answer to that question is what follows here. Expect everyday tips only: what you will truly need in the initial week and what will spare you from pricey slip-ups in the initial month, with no filler and no assumption that you have done this before. A second read after she arrives makes much more sense than the first, so read it once beforehand and once after, as you will notice things you skipped over the first time.

Before you even open the package, several things are worth doing, as once she's out of the box, getting her around becomes considerably harder. "Somewhere in the bedroom" isn't an answer, so truly decide: a cupboard, a corner, or a carry case. As dolls are weighty and unwieldy, making up storage at 11 p.m. with an unclothed doll in your arms is a thing you definitely do not wish. Dye transfer is a real risk, so evident the space she'll rest on, whether it is a bed, floor, or carry case, and verify it is clean and free of deep-coloured blankets, low-quality fabrics, and anything else that might bleed colour. If you've got carpet, lay something smooth under her. With a low bed, inspect it will not give way under her pressure with time.

Before she arrives, have your supplies to hand:
1. Cornstarch or baby powder (for TPE dolls)
2. A blow-dryer (for softening joints)
3. A clean, pale cloth (for the cloth try)
4. A coarse-toothed wig comb (not a regular hairbrush)
5. Drying supports (for the openings)
6. Mineral oil designed for TPE (where relevant)
7. A soft powder brush (for powdering)

None of this is costly, but all of it matters. Maybe twenty pounds covers the whole kit, and it is the variation between a doll that stays in top condition and one that does not. Do not tear into the package: open it attentively, and if it is damaged, picture it before you open it, since that is your sole protection for a guarantee claim. Inspect her quickly once the package is open: look for splits in the armpits and groin, verify all fingers are unbroken, and verify the head sculpt matches what you paid for. If something's wrong, image it at once and message the seller before you do anything else, seeing as a claim gets much harder once the doll has been used or repositioned.

The aspect that catches practically every new buyer off guard comes next: she will feel inflexible. Straight from the factory, the joints are tight, which is perfectly standard and does not mean anything is broken. Before you can pose her, you will have to free up the joints, and the technique is straightforward. Set a hair dryer to warm, not hot, and soften the TPE on each joint, next steadily move each joint through its complete range of movement, covering the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. Never force anything, and if a joint will not move, warm it more. Spend an entire hour on this. It sounds excessive, but it's the distinction among a doll you will really pose and a doll that ends up frozen in one pose as you gave up.

She's heavier than she looks, and this surprises everyone. 35 kg does not sound especially weighty up to the point you lift her from a low position and the pressure is concentrated in the wrong places, so stick to appropriate lifting technique: squat down and lift with your legs as opposed to your back. Keep her close to your body by holding under the armpits and hugging her when you can, as the closer she is to your centre of mass, the less pressure you will feel. Seeing as TPE and silicone both hold warmth fairly well, she's warmer than you anticipate, and she'll feel less plastic than you probably expected the first time you contact her attentively. People call their dolls lifelike mainly since the cloth genuinely reacts to touch in a method that catches you off guard, not as of movement or AI.

TPE gets sticky in time, especially in summer heat or after cleansing, so powder her often: a fine dusting of cornstarch or baby powder applied with a soft cosmetic brush holds the exterior smooth and free of dust, and it should be done after each cleansing session. You will also need to oil her from time to time, as TPE sheds oil with time and needs replenishment, and a thin coat of mineral oil formulated especially for TPE dolls every three months or so holds the cloth soft and prevents drying out, although don't go overboard seeing as too much oil makes the skin oily and picks up dust faster than dried-out skin does.

Believe of cleansing as a regime, not a one-off. After use:
1. Take out any inserts and wash them separately
2. Wash the openings with warm water and mild soap
3. Dry everything fully with drying sticks (15 to 20 minutes)
4. Powder the exterior with cornstarch or baby powder
5. Put away her correctly

This isn't optional, as skip it and you will get mould forming inside her in a matter of weeks. At just about 45 minutes the entire process takes longer than most owners expect, which is the primary reason veteran owners switch to swappable inserts, which cut that time approximately in half.

The worst misstep new owners make is not thinking about storage until it's a difficulty. Most veteran owners hang their dolls, using a heavy-duty hanging hook rated for at least 60 kg with a dedicated loop, which holds her in one pose without putting strain on the joints. You can put away her lying down as well, but be careful: smooth surfaces are fine and uneven ones aren't, and long stretches on her back can flatten the buttocks or breasts, so change the position now and after that. UV damages both TPE and silicone and discolours wigs and tinted details fast, so never leave her in direct sun, and keep her in a cupboard or a covered storage container.

There's no shortage of internet opinions about owning dolls, and most of them are wrong or exaggerated. She's not made of glass, so there's no need to be "careful" in the sense of walking on eggshells around her: yes, she's hefty and her joints need maintenance, but she's also designed to be used. There's no need to be embarrassed: millions of folk own sex dolls, the sector has grown massively in the last ten years, and the social stigma has diminished fast, so owning one is an individual choice and not something wrong with you.

You do not have to treat her like a person either. Certain owners build detailed characters and characters for their dolls, which is great and component of the appeal for many people, but you do not have to, and if you just would like a doll for physical pleasure and companionship without the roleplay, that is an entirely valid way to use one. The only thing you genuinely need to get right is the hands-on side, seeing as everything else is a matter of taste and no one else gets a say on how you use something you own.

Each owner ends up with their own regime, and mine, for whatever it is worth, is uncomplicated. Before each session, ease the joints, not for the whole hour of the first time but for just five minutes or so to be sure nothing is inflexible, and powder after each clean without fail. Verify the dye test on any new clothes even if you've used the same brand before, keep a spare wig within reach as synthetic fabric takes longer to dry out than you'd anticipate and you do not wish to be waiting, and put away her sensibly every time. It's not difficult, just the procedure that maintains your doll in top condition for many years on end on end rather than months.

The initial month teaches you the majority of what you must know, and early missteps tend to be inexpensive ones provided you're careful. Issues that show up later are the pricey ones, and they nearly always originate in something skipped in the first couple of weeks. Consider of a joint freed up too aggressively, a material tested on the doll as opposed to a cloth, or a storage arrangement that seemed fine until the pressure sunk into it. Go slowly at the beginning and the rest looks after itself.

You will also need to know what to do when something eventually goes wrong, seeing as it will. It could be a tear in the armpit, a loose joint, or a mark that will not come out. Panicking and assuming the doll is done for is the instinct, but nearly everything short of a snapped frame is fixable if you deal with it early. TPE repair packs cost almost nothing and handle compact rips. Tightening or replacing loose joints is possible. The one thing that does not come out is blemishes, and that is why the dye check matters so much. Learn where the fixable difficulties are and stop worrying about the ones that aren't.

A doll is a big purchase that deserves careful handling, but "serious" does not mean "difficult." Free up the joints, powder her on a regular basis, put away her correctly, and you will get years out of her, but skip those things and you will be replacing her significantly sooner than you expected. The initial week is the hardest, and after that it becomes second nature. More info at this rosslink.
