ARC Raiders Frozen Trail: Expand Your Outpost and Unlock More Storage

In ARC Raiders Frozen Trails update, the Outpost is a feature you shouldn't overlook. It is far more than just a personal ground base or a decorative space; by making the most of it—and unlocking hundreds of additional storage slots—you can stop having to make difficult choices about which ARC Raiders blueprints to keep. Instead, you can secure every single item you scavenge as part of your successful raid loot.

Unlocking the Outpost is the first step. You need to complete the "Sheltered Retreat" project, which entails exploring the surface and gathering information about life beyond Speranza. Be sure to bring a camera when you begin the project, as one of the objectives requires you to photograph a farmhouse near the "Ruined Homestead" in The Blue Gate region. Completing this project grants you access to your new base and the Research Station, opening up further opportunities for long-term progression.

Once you unlock the Outpost, your next goal is to gather the materials needed to build additional rooms and expand its available space. If you want hundreds of extra storage slots, collecting Furniture Blueprints becomes an important part of your progression. These blueprints unlock furniture recipes that help you make better use of your base, while the required ARC Raiders Items allow you to turn those recipes into useful additions.

Refining and upgrading an outpost requires more than just furniture. For example, moving to Level 3 requires three Hand Drills, alongside Epoxy Buckets and Planks. Hand Drills are valuable because they are needed for specific progression objectives, and finding enough of them can require multiple trips. You may complete several successful raids and still come back short of the materials needed to finish an upgrade. Since finding the ARC Raiders Blueprints and Items and materials can take multiple raids, planning your collection ahead of time can save considerable effort. If you want to speed up your progress, you may also look into options to buy ARC Raiders Blueprints and Items for the upgrades you are working toward. If you fully take advantage of the three rooms your outpost offers, filling them with furniture, it'll give you a whole heap of extra storage.

Before you unlock the outpost, It is tempting to pick up every useful-looking item, especially when you are exploring a new area, but limited space means every decision has a cost. I recommend deciding on a primary objective before leaving Speranza. If you are hunting for Furniture Designs, prioritize exploration and loot containers. If your main goal is upgrading the Outpost, make room for the specific materials listed in your project requirements.

The Research Workstation, the real reason the Outpost matters, which is the Research Workstation. Its existence makes Outpost no longer a simple personal base, but a very important arsenal. Can be upgraded to level 4 for crafting missing blueprints and obtaining enhanced weapons, but this requires Research Station level 4 and Gunsmith level 4.

Once you start furnishing your Outpost, the benefits become more apparent. Shelves, cupboards, and weapon racks can provide dedicated storage for compatible items, helping you keep your collection organized instead of relying entirely on your standard Stash. Filling available furniture slots gradually can add up to hundreds of extra storage spaces across your base, depending on the furniture you craft and the layout you build.

The key is to treat Outpost development as a progression system rather than a purely cosmetic feature. Collect the Furniture Designs that support your storage goals, gather materials with a clear purpose, and expand your rooms as your needs change. With a little preparation, Frozen Trail's Outpost system can make resource management less frustrating and leave you better prepared for every expedition into the world of ARC Raiders.
